About For Purpose, Inc.
and the 'On Time' community
Vision
To provide a safe and sacred space that welcomes diversity, where the evolving
spiritual nature of each unique individual is honored and supported with acceptance
and love.
To create a community where like-minded individuals and kindred spirits are
understood to be connected at a higher level, with a higher purpose, who come
together intentionally to implement this purpose, through personal healing
and transformation, for the highest good of all.
History
For Purpose, Inc., and the 'On Time' Community are indebted to Robert
'Buz' Myers, master astrologer, shaman and teacher who manifested both
entities.
Information about the medicine wheel was gifted to Buz in the late 1980's
by Adina
Walker, and he, in turn, began incorporating it into his cycles and phases
work. He introduced his monthly 'On Time' workshops to the public in 1989.
Honoring the requests of workshop subscribers from across the nation, the
first 'On Time' 7-Day Intensive was held in 1993 in Virginia Beach, VA.
What occurred at that first Intensive and those that have followed are miracles
of spirit and life. The 'On Time' Community was born!
Four years later, Buz and his business partner, Jan Ashton, incorporated
For Purpose, Inc., as a non-profit organization (November 29, 1994at
3:04 PM, Tallahassee, Forida).
Its purpose is to enhance the environment for alternative healing
procedures through education and training, and to raise funding
to establish and maintain a facility which will create a self-productive
environment for people to heal.
At the October, 1996 7-Day Intensive, Buz called a meeting of the community
to decide it's future. He and Jan offered For Purpose, Inc. to the 'On Time'
Community, so that it could continue to grow and expand on it's own.
The community voted to accept their generous offer and now For
Purpose, Inc. is the legal entity for the On Time' Community. Jonnie
Ruth Kuhn and Karen H. Malfregeot joined Buz and Jan as Officers
of the organization in January of 1997. In January of 1998, eight
Board of Directors were elected from the membership at large. The
first meeting of the Board of Directors was held in March, 1998
in Virginia Beach, VA.
Karen H. Malfregeot was elected President after Buz's passing in
March, 2000 and servered the community until her term on the board
expired in 2007.
