In 1989 Robert Kent 'Buz' Myers invited me to join him in working with his creative interpretation of the Native American Medicine Wheel. The Wheel had been shown to him by friend Adina Walker. Adina had learned of the healing available through the Wheel in her relationship with the teachings of Native American, Sun Bear.

Using the circle format, Buz made this sacred work unique by applying his knowledge of Earth & Sky into a blend all his own. As we studied natural cycles and patterns I found my heart opening deep and wide. I loved being a member of our dedicated community of creative pioneers and explorers. Together we learned to get our lives 'On Time' aligning with the archetypal elements of the monthly Lunar Phases and weaving them onto the Wheel.

Since those beginning days, I have enlisted the rhythm of the Natural Calendar Wheel as the primary organizing principle of my work as an artist/educator.
